Assessment of the Complications of Pregnancy Induced Hypertension among Pregnant Women in AL-Basra Maternity and Children Hospital

Background: Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) develops after 20 week of pregnancy in women who originally had no blood pressure. The complication arising PIH may possibly affect both the mother and her fetus. Aims study: This study aims to assess complications pregnancy-induced hypertension; determine relationship between inducing pregnant with their demographic characteristics. Methodology: A descriptive was done for assessing women. started period September 26th, 2020 May, 20th, 2021. non-probability (Purposive) sample 100 were attending Al Basra Maternity Children Hospital AL-Basra Governorate. questionnaire consists two part include data pregnancy, which are "complications diagnosed mother; on fetus composed (17) complications". reliability determined through a pilot validity panel experts. collected by interview. described statistically analyzed using inferential statistical analysis procedures. Results: results illustrated that there low mean score all items assessment related women, moderate level concerning occupation, daily work it nature significantly complications.
